About COPIERA

What is COPIERA?+
COPIERA is a cloud-hosted trade copier for futures traders. It watches a leader broker account, detects every fill, and replicates the same trade across as many follower accounts as you connect — sized to whatever multiplier you choose for each follower. It also includes per-user risk lockouts and a journal that logs every copied trade.
How is COPIERA different from other futures trade copiers?+
Three things. First, the routing engine is written in Rust and runs close to exchange infrastructure, so internal latency from leader fill to follower order is typically under 10 milliseconds. Second, risk management is enforced by the engine itself — when realized copied-trade P&L crosses a daily or weekly limit, the engine stops routing new opening orders, no UI button required. Third, the journal and copy engine share one database, so what you see on the journal exactly matches what was copied.
Is COPIERA legit and is copy trading legal?+
Yes. Copy trading via your own broker accounts is legal in every major jurisdiction — you're placing orders in accounts you control. COPIERA does not custody funds, does not act as a broker, and never moves money. Your broker keeps your funds; we just place the orders you would have placed yourself.

Speed and execution

How fast does COPIERA copy a trade?+
Internal routing latency — leader fill detected to follower order sent — is usually under 10 milliseconds. End-to-end speed depends on each broker's API. We dispatch follower orders in parallel, so adding more followers does not stack delay. The slowest follower is the slowest follower; it doesn't slow down anyone else.
Do follower orders fire in parallel or sequentially?+
Parallel. Every active follower in the copy group gets its order placed at the same time. Latency is bounded by the slowest broker, not by the number of accounts.
Will I miss a copy if my computer is off?+
No. The engine runs on our infrastructure 24/7. Your computer doesn't need to be on for copying to work — that's the point of using a cloud copier instead of a local script.

Supported brokers and prop firms

Which brokers and platforms does COPIERA support?+
Tradovate (native), Rithmic (R|API), CQG (WebAPI), TradingView (webhook signals), TopstepX through the ProjectX API route where available, DXtrade, Volumetrica, and DxFeed. A leader on any supported route can fan out to followers on any other supported futures route.
Which prop firms work with COPIERA?+
Topstep, TopstepX, Apex Trader Funding, MyFundedFutures, TakeProfitTrader, Tradeify, Lucid Trading, and other prop firms that route through Tradovate, Rithmic, or TopstepX/ProjectX API.
Can I mix prop firm accounts with personal accounts in one group?+
Yes. A copy group can contain any combination of accounts across any supported brokers. The leader fires once and all followers in the group execute, regardless of broker.

Setup and accounts

How long does setup take?+
Around 10 minutes. Create an account, add your broker connections (we validate each one against the broker before saving), assign them to a copy group, and pick a leader. Once the leader is active, copying starts on the next fill.
How many accounts can I link?+
FREE plan: 1 follower. BASIC: up to 10 followers. PRO: up to 25 followers. ELITE: unlimited. Group counts: FREE/BASIC 1 group, PRO 2, ELITE 5. You can have one leader per group.
Can I size the same trade differently across accounts?+
Yes. Each follower has its own whole-number multiplier (e.g. 1x, 2x, 5x), a micro-contract toggle (auto-substitute MES for ES, MNQ for NQ, etc.), and a quantity rounding policy (round, floor, ceil). One leader fill turns into appropriately-sized orders on each follower.

Risk management

How does the daily loss lockout work?+
You set a max daily loss in the risk page. The engine sums realized P&L from copied executions in the current futures session. The moment the sum drops to your limit, the engine stops routing new opening signals and marks your account locked. The lock auto-resets at the next 18:00 ET futures session boundary — the same rollover the futures session uses, so it lines up cleanly with prop firm daily resets.
Are weekly and trailing drawdown limits supported?+
Yes. You can enable max weekly loss, weekly profit goal, and weekly trailing drawdown (peak-to-current) — same enforcement model as the daily limits. The weekly window opens Sunday 18:00 ET, matching the futures week open.
Does the engine flatten open positions when I hit a limit?+
When a limit hits, new signals are blocked. To exit positions you can use the Flatten All button on the dashboard, which sends close orders to every active follower. Automatic flatten-on-lockout is on the roadmap.

Security and data

How are my broker credentials stored?+
Encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is validated on engine startup (32 bytes / 64 hex chars). Credentials are only decrypted in memory when the engine is placing an order, never logged, and never transmitted off our infrastructure.
Does COPIERA see or move my money?+
No. We don't custody funds. Your broker holds the money; we just place orders in the accounts you've authorized. We have no withdraw or transfer capability — you can verify this in any broker that exposes API permissions per token.
Where is COPIERA hosted?+
Our engine and database run on dedicated infrastructure on AWS. Traffic is reverse-proxied through Caddy with automatic TLS, and the engine itself is not exposed to the public internet — only the frontend and webhook ingress are.

Plans and billing

Do you have a free trial?+
Every paid plan starts with a 7-day trial. You can cancel before the trial ends with no charge. The FREE tier is permanent and lets you connect 1 follower.
How does billing work?+
Stripe subscriptions, monthly or yearly. You can switch tiers any time — the next invoice prorates. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
What happens if I cancel?+
You drop to the FREE tier at the end of the period. Your accounts and journal stay intact. You can reactivate any time without re-entering your broker credentials.
